∼ Frequently Asked Questions ∼
Can I bring my pets? Unfortunately, your pet will have to stay elsewhere. Cabana Club does not allow pets for guests. Okaloosa County does not allow dogs on the beach.
Can I bring my bikes? Yes, bikes are fine! Please don’t bring them in the unit; you can park and chain them to the fence to the east of the Cabana Club building. Scenic 98 is quiet place to ride.
Can I bring my boat and trailer? Park them in the Cabana Club overflow lot on the north side of Scenic 98.
I am under 25- can I rent Cabana Club 301? No, renters must be 25 or older. The rental management company Solely Beachfront enforces this rule.
Is this a non-smoking unit? Yes! No smoking is allowed in the unit or on the balcony.
Do I need a parking pass? Yes, you are subject to being towed without one. Be sure it is prominently displayed. You need a pass for additional vehicles or trailers as well.
How do I work the HAC? The temperature is controlled by pressing the up or down button twice – the first press displays the temp setting, the second press actually changes the setting. Remember it takes the unit time to cool down when the outside temperature is high. Setting it colder won’t make it cool faster. Don’t set the temperature too low or it will freeze the unit which will stop working and require a service call. Also keep the doors closed when the unit is running since the additional moisture and salt air will ruin the AC unit.
What time is check-in and check-out? Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 10am.
What are the quiet hours? Quiet hours are 10pm-8am.
How do I work the TV remote? The “power on” button controls the TV and the cable Contour box. The button that looks like a microphone is a voice control. Just hold it and tell it the channel or show you want to watch and it will display it.
How do I access the internet? Log into a Cabana Club network choice with the password provided by Solely Beachfront.
Who do I call for internet problems? Port Networks handles Cabana Club internet service. Call them at 850.217.5697. There is a magnet on the refrigerator with this information.
How do I work the shower controls? The rainshower has its own control. The multiple showerhead, handshower and jets have 6 combination settings controlled by a small handle on the outer disk. Select the 4 o’clock position setting when turning water on to prevent a soaking!
Is there a swimming pool? No, Cabana Club does not have a pool on property.
Is beach service available? Yes, beach service is available on Cabana Club’s beach. Chairs and umbrellas are available by the day or week at a reasonable cost. See the attendants on the beach.
Is there a lifeguard on the beach? There is no lifeguard on site- Swim at your own risk! City/County lifeguards and police periodically patrol the beach. Beach flags posted at James Lee Park to the east and the public access to the west are both visible from Cabana Club’s beach. Obey those flags.
What do the beach flags mean? Red means danger! To check out the full explanation Click Here.
What is the policy on underage drinking of alcohol on the beach? Destin and Okaloosa County have a zero tolerance policy for underage drinking. Police patrol the beach and underage drinkers can be ticketed and taken directly to jail.
Can I bring my drinks to the beach? Yes, all food and legal beverages are allowed on the beach! Picnics on the beach are great! Cans and plastic bottles are fine, but Okaloosa County does not allow any glass on the beach. If you are a wine drinker, we have provided plastic wineglasses in our kitchen for your use.
How do I get the beach gate code? Solely Beachfront will provide the current beach gate code for use during your stay. Be sure the gate closes behind you to keep our beach secured and private.
Can I leave my beach chairs on the beach overnight? No, Okaloosa County does not allow items to be left on the beach overnight. They are a hazard for turtles and also prevent access by the beach cleaning equipment. Your items will be confiscated and discarded.
Can I bring a private tent or umbrella to use on the beach? Only baby tents (48” or lower) are allowed on the Cabana Club Beach. You can rent chairs and umbrellas from the Beach Service. You are welcome to bring your private chairs and set up behind the rental chair row. While on the beach, you may be asked to provide your unit number and information to ensure only Cabana Club guests are using our beach. Private tents and umbrellas become dangerous missiles in the wind when not well secured.
Where do I put my beach gear? Please rinse off your beach gear at the beach walkover hose and bring to the condo’s entrance nook, outside the front door or right inside the front door…use your best judgment.
Why can’t I feed the birds on property? Birds will congregate where they are fed. They will become a nuisance as well as create a mess on the balconies and property.
Why can’t I grill on the balcony? Fire codes prohibit balcony grilling. If you like to grill, take advantage of the great grill area in the Cabana Club common area!
Why are there no lights on the beach walkover? Turtle regulations prohibit most lights that can be seen from the beach at night. Turtles are disoriented by the lights when nesting and hatchlings will go north instead of into the water. Keep the beachside windows covered at night if you have bright lights on inside.
